Spell Check No Red Underline

Spell check no red underline. While in the middle of writing a document the spell check red line went away and i have no idea why or how. On the proofing tab click the hide spelling and grammar errors checkbox. Turn off red wavy underlines for spelling errors.

You re typing along you make a mistake and you see the wavy red underline. If i correct one the red underline disappears and there are no right click options on the word to fix it. May have hit a key on my keyboard or something.

The spell checker does work but the grammar checker does not. Especially when i have multiple misspelled words in a text field. Tick the box next to do not check spelling or grammar.

Only thing i can think of is to check tools options language and make sure check spelling as you type is selected. If you don t want to see the red wavy underlines on screen you can turn this feature off by three simple clicks. Then click set as default and click yes when prompted a dialog asking if you want to make the change.

To avoid that distraction you can turn spell check off then check spelling manually when you re done writing. I have spelling suggestions turned on but the underline errors option that is mentioned in other posts isn t present for me.
